Selling would be easy on the phone, if it wasn’t for the pesky gatekeeper getting in the way, wouldn’t it?
Nevertheless, it is an integral part of our job role. And so we have to develop a way of coping. I’ve had a lifetime of having to deal with gatekeepers. This 60 minute sales training module conducted online using Zoom is partly based around my curated ideas on the subject. Plus we’ll get some ideas from you.
We start by exploring the balance of power, and use this to explain why you must respect them. You’re in trouble if you don’t. We talk about when it’s best to engage them, and when you should try to avoid them. It’s all part of an elaborate game. And sometimes being creative helps!

Finally, we find that interactive sessions work best as they allow participants to relate the theory back to their own business. A short exercise will help you lock in your learning.
